Hello my lovelies...
How has your week gone?
It's been a grey wet week here but it hasn't stopped me.
I've been a busy busy bumbly and
had such fun.
As I mentioned in my previous post I am
in the middle of designing a range of vintage goodies
with a lovely friend of mine which we hope to launch at the beginning of summer.
We are combining our expertise and creating shawls, wraps, scarves, hats, flower corsages and wrist cufflets using traditional wet-felting techiniques and then luxuriously embellishing them.
We are placing vintage silks, satins, lace and ribbons all taken from quality
wedding and evening dresses from various era's.
We have used dresses from 1950's, 60's and 80's so far but have many more
we want to include.
I have been doing loads of research around designs from different fashion eras
and oh boy have I had such fun looking at all the beautiful images!
Would you like to see some?
Grab a cuppa and indulge in a little 'Vintage Loveliness' with me for a few mins...
Wedding designs have been our starting point...
...all with a dreamy romantic feel....
Our other influence has been Paris and all her beautiful designs,
especially during Edwardian times...
I just love the beautiful elegance and opulence of the times when fashion for
women was so feminine and dressmaking skills were on daily display.
We have also designs from other beauties from various fashions...
There are a wealth of vintage images on the web
and since doing my research I have discovered the most amazing site...
If you click on the link you will find all my lovely finds!
Hope you enjoy...
We have called our collection 'Vintage Elegance' for obvious reasons.
You can check out my Facebook page about the collection here...
If you are still with me at this point thank you for reaching this far!
I hope you've enjoyed a little vintage loveliness...
I can't wait to share my designs with you all very soon
Tilly
