Hello lovelies...
How are you all?
I've had a wonderful lazy few days celebrating with family and dear friends
but the time has arrived for all the
sparkle to be packed away for another year.
Oh dear...that means I will see the dust underneath a little more now....
So what am I doing writing on my blog instead of dusting I ask myself?
Mmmmm...good question!
It doesn't take alot to distract me.
I have loved spending time reading all of your lovely blogs again
over the hols
that I have promised myself some time every morning or evening how ever rushed I am
to sit and write a post or read some of your news....
I had forgotten just HOW much I have missed you all.
But it is like meeting an old friend again....after a few minutes
you slip into conversation as though no time has passed at all
and friendship takes over again.
I started my blog back in Oct 2009 and in that time I've only written 220 posts
which compared to some of you is a very minimal amount I know.
I had no idea if anybody would read it or even be interested in my ramblings!
But do you know it has provided me with a wealth of beautiful memories
to treasure, provided me with wonderful friendships that have enriched my life, set me on some exciting new ventures and most of all let me have a haven of delicious loveliness to rest my weary head on at times.
Now don't get me wrong...blogging isn't always full of marshmallow goodness....
I know in reality we all have the rubbish side of life for most of the time
....the dishwasher flooding the kitchen, the blocked loo when guests stay over
the kiddiwinks being ill, husband getting stressed with work
... you get the picture.
I'm no different to anyone else.
I have my down days with my partner in crime...Fibromyalgia
But blogging supports me with a huge warm hug just when I need it.
I have no idea how you all found my blog.
It always seems to be a mysterious question I often ask myself!
But I love reading about your ventures, looking at your gorgeous pics for inspiration,
and knowing that I'm not the only one out there who adores Doris Day and makes
lovely goodies from recycled fabrics.
When I started my blog I had a few friends say "What's the point?"
Mmmm...well what is the point?
The point is it makes me smile....
It makes me feel quite normal to take a photograph of a drop of rain lazing on a rosebud or a leaf and wanting to share it with you all...
It makes me feel very special when I receive such wonderful comments from peeps
that live on the other side of the world or simply down the road
and only know me via the big web of knowledge...
My blog also lets me indulge in my passion for writing
and for those few minutes when I write I can pretend I am
a budding author or the next Jane Austen...hee hee
So my lovelies I guess what I am trying to say in a very long tale is
that I love sharing five minutes of my day with you all.
I've no idea where my journey will take me but for now I'm
happy to tootle along saying hello to everyone along the way....
I'm looking forward to much more blogging this year
(in between the dusting of course!)
have a lovely day folks
Hugs to you all
Tilly

Hello Tilly, really enjoyed this post! People who don't blog or read blogs don't seem to 'get it' so why do we feel we have to justify ourselves by explaining? Like you, I like to write and express myself and am amazed that others like to read about me wittering on, but I am so glad I've joined the blogging community and that there are so many like minded people blogging too! Congratulations on over 3 years blogging, and hope your fibromyalgia isn't paying you up at the moment. Happy 2013!
Love Claire xxx

A wonderful post and agree blogging is worthwhile, hope you get some relief soon, having a friend who has trigeminal fibromyalgia, know the pain you can be in, take care
Lovely post x I didn't realise ou suffered with fibromyalgia, bless you, my dad has suffered with that for. Few years and it's really painful. Apologies for all the typos, I am using an iPad and have written this comment three times as it seems the iPad does not like it if ou try to go back and amend a spelling mistake !? The joys of technology! Wishing you a fun filled fabulous and hopefully pain free new year x
I think I gound your blog via a link from someone elses. That's my usual route to new blogs.
Hope 2013 is good to you.
